Zhang Kejian, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, visited Yuchai for research

On September 15, Zhang Kejian, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, Director of the National Space Administration, and Director of the National Atomic Energy Agency, visited Yuchai for research. Hou Gang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Autonomous Region Department of Industry and Information Technology, accompanied the research. Shen Guang, General Manager of the Group, reported on the relevant situation of Yuchai.

Zhang Kejian and his party visited the exhibition hall of Yuchai Nanning Base, the Engineering Research Institute Test Center, and the Yuchai Xinlan R&D Test Center, and listened to the relevant department heads’ introductions on Yuchai’s development history, main product matching, international cooperation, core technology breakthroughs, R&D equipment capabilities, special power R&D, etc., and observed the land-based generator sets and vehicles equipped with Yuchai special power on site.
When Zhang Kejian learned that Yuchai and MTU, a German veteran engine company, had a joint venture and cooperation, and that the two sides had equal exchanges, mutual integration and promotion, and continued expansion of cooperation areas, he affirmed the cooperation model of the two sides. When visiting Yuchai's range extender, ECVT hybrid power, fuel cell, integrated electric bridge and other new energy power, Zhang Kejian asked in detail about the product supporting manufacturers, market promotion, fuel saving effects, etc. When investigating the test center, Zhang Kejian asked the technicians on the test bench about the progress of the test project and learned about the engine R&D and testing equipment in detail.

Zhang Kejian pointed out that Yuchai is a long-established and leading enterprise in my country's engine field, and has done a good job in product innovation and research and development. In an international environment where anti-globalization thoughts are spreading, Zhang Kejian encouraged Yuchai to continue to aim at the world's first-class level, strengthen exchanges with outstanding domestic peers, break through more key technologies, develop more innovative results, strive to be the setter of world standards, and firmly grasp the initiative; take the initiative to serve and support national strategies, while strengthening traditional power products, actively play its own advantages, and invest resources to expand the development of special power products; focus on improving the ability to transform and implement advanced digital results, accelerate exploration and practice, and make greater contributions to national scientific and technological self-reliance.
During the investigation, Zhang Kejian also had cordial exchanges with Yuchai's technical R&D backbones and introduced talents.
