Yuchai's four new energy power systems were launched in Beijing, creating a diversified and world-leading technology route for my country's new energy power

 On May 28, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Held a new energy power strategy and product launch conference in Beijing, launching four new energy power systems: integrated generator engine powertrain, eCVT power split hybrid powertrain, integrated electric drive axle assembly, and fuel cell system. This marks that Yuchai has successfully completed the determination of the new energy power technology route and fully launched new products after launching the full range of National VI commercial power. The product strategy layout of traditional power and new energy power has been formed, further enhancing core competitiveness and creating a world-leading and diversified technology route for my country's new energy power industry.

       Su Wanhua, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Yongwei, secretary-general of the China Electric Vehicle 100 Association, Xing Min, secretary-general of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, Miao Yuming, deputy general manager of Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd., Li Qingwen, president of the China Automotive Evaluation Institute, and Liu Shengyou, deputy mayor of Yulin City, attended the press conference. Yan Ping, president of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association and chairman of Yuchai Co., Ltd., and Qiu Zhixiang, chairman of Xiamen Golden Dragon Automobile Group Co., Ltd., jointly unveiled the product. Nearly 300 OEM leaders and dealer customers witnessed the product launch.

       At the press conference, Yuchai signed a new energy power strategic cooperation agreement with nine OEMs, including Xiamen Golden Dragon, BAIC Off-Road, Shanghai Shenlong, Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle, Dayun Automobile, Shaanxi Automobile Commercial Vehicle, Dongfeng Motor, Dongfeng Huashen, and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, and will jointly develop high-quality products for customers.

       2020 is a turning point for the upgrading of China's commercial vehicles, a year for the realization of the basic national policy of comprehensive energy conservation and emission reduction, a year for market competition of multiple technical routes, and a year for the comprehensive commercialization of technological innovation of Chinese automobile OEMs and power enterprises. In a changing external environment and facing the diversified development of customer needs, Yuchai has always focused on the innovation of professional and technical capabilities, adhered to the original intention of creating value for customers, based on the development of high-efficiency internal combustion engines, integrated global excellent technical resources, made breakthroughs in core technologies such as mechatronics technology capabilities, formed a strategic layout of traditional power and new energy power dual-drive products, and maintained the ability to continuously create and output value for customers.

       At present, Yuchai has complete R&D and manufacturing capabilities for core components of new energy power systems, first-class high-integration capabilities for new energy power systems, and can provide customers with a complete set of new energy power system solutions. It is the only company in the domestic industry that has mastered the highly integrated application capabilities of new energy power such as integrated generator engine powertrain, eCVT hybrid powertrain, integrated electric drive assembly, fuel cell system, etc., as well as the company with the most complete new energy service network in China and the only company in the world that develops and produces multi-purpose power split hybrid systems.

       The seven new energy power products released by Yuchai this time cover four major business directions: IE-Power, eCVT, integrated electric drive axle assembly, and fuel cell system. They are newly developed by Yuchai to fully utilize its power technology integration advantages, fully integrate engine and electric technology, and target the diversified power needs of customers in different market segments. They are products with super market competitive advantages in the post-subsidy era. The products have derived a variety of pragmatic technical routes, which is a correction and innovation of the original new energy power technology route.

        Among them, Yuchai IE-Power realizes the integrated design of motor and engine, which is highly integrated. The system can realize the function of charging while driving, greatly increasing the vehicle's cruising range; relying on the engine's technical reserves, 1 liter of diesel can generate an average of 4 kWh of electricity, and its power generation efficiency is 20% higher than the industry's; the eCVT hybrid system is the world's only multi-purpose power-split hybrid system, with an engine fuel saving rate of more than 65%; Yuchai fuel cell is Yuchai's future-oriented power product, with a system hydrogen conversion efficiency of more than 42%, higher than the industry average, and an overall life of more than 20,000 hours; the integrated electric drive axle assembly realizes the integration of multiple components, reduces the weight and energy consumption of the entire vehicle, and at the same time increases the installation space of the power battery, which has broad market prospects.

       Through this strategic adjustment of the main engine business, Yuchai has achieved three major changes: promoting Yuchai's transformation from a power manufacturing enterprise to a high-end powertrain manufacturing enterprise; promoting the transformation of my country's new energy power technology route from gorgeous to pragmatic; and promoting my country's new energy power business from borrowing to combining absorption and reference with independent innovation.

      Yan Ping said that Yuchai's new energy power products have derived a variety of technical routes by fully integrating engines and electric technologies, which is a correction and innovation of the original new energy power technology route. In the future, Yuchai will continue to upgrade its traditional engine business and complete the strategic layout of coexistence of diversified power, promote the transformation of the company from focusing on medium and heavy power to light power, medium power, heavy power and large power; from focusing on traditional power to new energy power and traditional power; from focusing on the domestic market to overseas markets and domestic markets, realize the two-legged walk of traditional power and new energy power, build a world-class powertrain manufacturing company, and lead the development of new energy power technology in China and even the world.
